About Me

I  grew up in Herman, NE with my parents and younger brother. As a child, I dreamed of becoming a nurse and teacher, so I could nurture and positively impact the spiritual, emotional, and physical health of other people. I graduated with a BSN-RN from Nebraska Methodist College in 2010 and have since been a RN at Children's Hospital. I spent 5 years as an RN in trauma/emergency where I also served as charge nurse and lead preceptor. In March 2015, I accepted the Clinical Nurse Educator position in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. Finally, I worked as adjunct faculty teaching an Assessment Across the Lifespan course to accelerated nursing students at Nebraska Methodist College in the Spring of 2016. I am enthusiastic about advancing my career as a nurse educator as a result of my passion for nursing and hope I will impact each person with whom I work and educate. It is a long-time passion of mine to learn and integrate holistic health into the Western culture.
