Culture is a set of beliefs and experiences among a group of people. Pedagrogy and androgy are discussed in this assignment and the way individual's learn based on these theories is dependent on their life experiences and how they can relate to knowledge being presented. A nurse edcuator must incorporate cultural beliefs and life experiences into the education of students/professionals to enhance the learning growth.
Culturally competent education includes evaluating the student's past experiences and current learning styles and incorporating those learning methods into the educational practices. It also incorporates viewing culutrally beliefs and assumptions and using those to influence the learning. Throughout this assignment I developed knowledge on how to use transformational service learning into my educational practices.
